Learning How Motion works

UnitedHealthcare Motion® is a prescription for healthy walking

Your daily walking goals provide a science-based game plan to 1) reduce your health risk factors and 2) earn annual financial rewards for out-of-pocket medical expenses per plan year. The goals are named "FIT" for Frequency, Intensity, and Tenacity - all important to your walking routine. Each daily FIT goal has its own health benefit and financial reward, and achieving them regularly can really pay off.

It's simple:

Motion gives you the tools to make your steps count. First, link (or pair) your activity tracker to your Motion account, and then just:

  1. Wear your activity tracker every day.
  2. Walk to reach your goals and sync with app.
  3. Watch your progress - and collection of FIT earnings - on your Motion dashboards.

Financial rewards:

At the top of each dashboard view, your year-to-date FIT earnings are displayed as well as the current amount in your Motion account. Your FIT earnings are distributed each quarter to be used toward out-of-pocket medical expenses, so the amount in your Motion account fluctuates on a quarterly basis. Your rewards are distributed to based on how your health plan is set up.
